I AM GOING TO BE A FATHER AGAIN!

My wife came home today and had our 4 year old daughter wake me up ( I SLEEP IN THE DAY BECAUSE I WORK AT NIGHT AT A FACTORY) and tell me she was going to be a sister. I asked my wife about it and she said she is about 4 to 5 weeks along.

ALL BEHIND ME NOW!!

You know when you work in retail during the holidays and then inventory, it can wear a person out. "WHEW!!!" I am so glad its all over. During that era, I was always tired and worn out to work on the comic book. Thus, I did work on the rough sketches for pages and more of the script. So, I wasn't neglecting the comic what so ever Once, I was told that no matter where you are or time it is, you should always have your business on your mind. That's what I always do. Anyways, now that Christmas and inventory is all behind me, I can now hit the drawing board and dish out the remaining pages of issue #1. As I always say, "It's coming along well." In 2008, God is gonna take us to new and higher levels. The Luminous Team hasn't even touch the tip of the ice burg for what God has in store for us. God bless to you all

Whacked Again

Hey folks!! Do you remember when I posted a blog about getting whacked in the head with an idea? Well, it happend to me again. I came up with the character, the sketch, and a quick synopsis of the story. Though, it's still on the drafting table, I think it'll be a good story when all is put together. God bless.

NEWS

Hi everyone, Mike here I am still working on the script for my "PROJECT" coming out in 2008. I keep getting new ideas, and changing things in the story I want to make the first issue of my line of comics the best I can tell. I think you guys are going to enjoy what you read when my book comes out.

......... Sorry for keeping what I'm doing a secret, but like in movies I don't want anything "LEAKED" too early. I will start to lift the curtain a little as we get close to the books release date.

Thank you.

Promo: Positive feedback and high demand.

We've received a lot of positive feedback from those who have purchased the promo comic book. Plus, the demand is high and a second batch is getting printed. This is great news for us. This shows that we're on the right track and our future is bright. There were a lot of compliments on the artwork and how it was put together. Many liked how a few pages had the 3-D effect. They also were captivated, loved, and enjoyed reading the story. One person mentioned how the story really touched his heart and soul. Based on our positive feedback, many are eager to see the coming attractions we have in store for them. Thus, we're confident that we'll deliver. With our recent launch, we are successful and believe God has given us a taste of whats to come.

God bless and take care.

THQ #1 Progress Report 6

Hola folks!

We bring you another status report on issue #1 of The Holy Quest. In the coloring sector, pages 5 thru 9 are complete. Aaron is in the beginning process for 10 thru 13. In the inking/pencil sector, I'm about to work on page 14. Page 14 had undergone a lot of changes before I was satisfied. Furthermore, pages 15 thru 21 are planned out and I'm pretty much satisfied with them. The cover page is in the works as well and I hope to have that presented in the COMICS section plus a sneak peek of issue one. So, folks, keep your eyes peeled. Till then, God less and take care.

When you get whacked!!!

I don't know if this effects everyone but I know it effects poets, artists, writers, etc. Sometimes a story or an idea would just "WHACK" me in the head. For example, One day I was at work, putting some merchandise away. When I saw a bumble bee fly by me, chilling his day away. Then suddenly, "WHACK!". I suddenly came up with another story idea and character. So on my lunch break, I wrote up a short synopsis of the story and thought up some character designs. Now, the designs are not legit yet but when the time is right, it'll come together. Plus the title and story itself is still up in the air but it'll one day see its time on the shelves for all to enjoy. As for getting "WHACKED" in the head with a story and character idea; I thank the good Lord for that gift. Here's a few words to the wise. Always have a notebook and pen(pencil) handy at all times. You just never know when you'll get "WHACKED" in the head.

If you have any "WHACKED" moments that you'd like to share. Post them in our forums section. We would love to hear from you. God bless.

Down and out in Dragon town

My Labor Day weekend in Dragoncon, was a blast!! Thousands of people were there and all were dressed in costumes, Ranging from sci-fi to anime. My friends and I dressed up as well. On Friday, we did the Star wars theme, Saturday, a superhero theme and Sunday, Mortal Kombat theme. Man, it was hot wearing those suits, whew! Some famous folks attended the convention as well. Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet all the once I wanted to meet. I had the pleasures of seeing some old friends as much as gaining news ones. Two of the Luminous team was there. Me of coarse and Damon. We brought a lot of our business cards and gave them to people as well as placing some on tables, everywhere. I had my note book and pen with, as of no surprise. I drew here and there and I did create another character and gain some new ideas for future stories. The one thing I did enjoy was the city scenery, day and night. With our room being on the 12th floor, I had a great sight to see. At times I would be gazing at the scenery getting ideas on how I can create city scenes for the comic books. The only bad time I had there was my allergies attacking me. Man that sucked. Luckily, I had had some Hauls and lots of tissues, My allergies didn't stop me from having a good time. I hope one day The Luminous Team can set up a table and promote our comic books down there. Folks would love to see what we have and what's to come.

God bless and peace.

New series in the works.

Hey everyone, this is Mike. Here's a basic idea about my comic that will be out in the 1st or 2nd half of 2008. The story in my comics are of an ordinary man named Chris who, by a strange twist of fate, becomes a super-human being. This comes with a price and he feels is more of a curse than a gift. With the help of his friend, will Chris find the hero he has inside him in time to save the earth from an evil man from the past or not? I will have more as time goes on. Right now, this story is just a script, with a cartoonish type of look. It's just to help me iron out how I will make things in the regular comic.

Till then, take care of yourselves.

So Much To Do, So Little Time.

As if my responsibilities with our THQ title aren't enough, add a family and overbooked life. Oh yea, now I'm juggling. But wait, there's more... I been working on my own original story to bring to the Luminous Comics line up.

That's right, as many of you may well know, I've been revising the story arc and pining down all the details on our new project "insert working title here". Although taking on this challenge is draining and time consuming, I'm ecstatic. Because this book is something I've wanted to bring to fruition for a long time.

Once we have the production logistics covered, we'll be leaking some cool info. So stay tuned.

Don't forget to check the new Editors Floor section for some of my handy work.

Thanks,
Mike Stumbo

Family reunion.

I was attending a family reunion and as always, I had my notebook and pencil. I was reworking some of the script and thumb nail sketches for a few pages of issue one. They turned out better than I recently had. I cant wait to see the finished pages.

THQ #1 Progress Report 1

I wanted to give everyone a little update on the progress of The Holy Quest™ issue #1. I've penciled the first eight pages and am currently inking the later four. The color on the first pages is being reworked and is scheduled to be completed inline with me wrapping up pages five through eight. As well, the cover has come together nicely and should be nearing its finalizing stage soon. I'm looking forward to the upcoming pages and can wait to get started, they're some of my favorite in the issue. Looks like it's going to be another long night.
